OUR ORIGINS
A RICH AND LONG HISTORY ...
First established in 1985 SFM initially concentrated on the manufacture of bespoke apple and blackcurrant harvesting machinery.
The company started working with the fast-evolving Aerospace Industry and in 1997 expanded and grew further into this niche area offering both design and manufacturing services - all whilst still growing its agricultural machinery department.
In July 2012 SFM Technology was proud to be awarded the Royal Warrant from Her Majesty The Queen.
Fruit Harvesting.com is the founding division of SFM Technology Limited.
Based in Somerset, England the company is widely recognised as one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of advanced fruit harvesting machines.
With over 35 years of experience in providing a bespoke design and build service to our many customers around the world, the company combines a unique mix of design, engineering skills and international fruit harvesting experience to enables us to offer customers a very real choice.
Customers are able to choose from a standard range of equipment, ask us to modify machines to meet their individual needs or to opt for our bespoke service which creates individual, tailored machines that are designed and built from the 'ground up’.

SFM TECHNOLOGY still remains true to its beginnings in 1985; when we built only bespoke fruit harvesting machines! Our Harvesting Division is held in high regard within the industry globally and we regularly see our machines featured in articles and TV shows alike ...
We are delighted to still deal with so many of our original customers from the 80's and have seen many hand down businesses from one generation to another ... as after all over 35 years is a long time!
